Mapping skills

After all our work on location and mapping we got together with Miss Murphy’s 3/4s and had some mapping fun!

It used all our mapping skills, compass directions, map reading and so much more.

Here is the voki and some photos of the day. Maybe you can talk about it with your family.

Sustainability

Today, 14th March, we had a guest speaker named Delsie Lilyst talk about the lives of Aboriginal peoples today and in the past, as well as the lives of Torres Strait Islanders.

With a partner you need to find out what “Sustainability means”. write a definition.

Then watch these videos on youtube:

After watching the videos, answer the following questions (create a google slide show with your partner):

What is Palm Oil?

Why is it bad?

What impact is it having on the environment?

Who is effected by the use of palm oil?

Look up products that have palm oil in them that you use – write a list of at least 10 items!

Write a persuasive letter to mum or dad persuading them to buy palm oil free or sustainable palm oil product.
